President de souza extends hand of fellowship to Nigerian foreign affairs minister, ERERA boss and North Korean ambassador
Abuja 25th, April 2016: The ECOWAS Commission President Allain de Souza has extended a hand of fellowship to the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in furtherance of the renewed zeal for greater cooperation between the regional organization and Member States.

Pic 1 Pic 3President de Souza led a team of ECOWAS Senior management officials for a courtesy visit to the Nigerian minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama on the 22nd of April 2016, in recognition of the great role Nigeria plays in the advancement of the integration of the West African region.

Similarly, the Chairman of the ECOWAS Regional Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERERA) Professor Honoré Bogler conferred with the ECOWAS Commission President de Souza at the ECOWAS Commission in Abuja to discuss how to advance the cause of the regulation of cross-border electricity interconnections in West Africa. Deliberations held in view of the fact that a standard electricity regulatory format would engender greater energy access for the region.

Pic 1Earlier, President de Souza held discussions with the ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Jong Yong Chol to explore ways of greater collaboration in identified areas of mutual interest. The visit of the Korean delegation is in tandem with the existing cordial relations between the Commission and South Korea  Pic 1
