| The ECOWAS Commission has learnt with outrage the news of the terrorist attack perpetrated in Grand-Bassam on 13 March 2016, which claimed several lives and injured many.
The Commission and ECOWAS Institutions condemn in the strongest terms this terrorist act and assure the people and Government of Cote d’Ivoire of their total solidarity at this very difficult moment.
The ECOWAS Commission pays tribute to the memory of the victims of the attack and extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
The ECOWAS Commission is closely monitoring the situation in conjunction with its partners, with the aim of providing of all the necessary support and collaboration the Ivorian authorities may require.
