Annual meeting of the Heads of ECOWAS National Offices
 Abuja, 18th November 2016  The annual meeting of the Heads of ECOWAS National Offices will hold on the 21st of November 2016 at the ECOWAS Commission Head Quarters.

The interface between senior Officials of the Commission and Heads of the National Offices provides a valuable platform for the sharing of experiences including the robust discussions of the ECOWAS regional programmes that are being implemented in Member States.

The meeting is in furtherance of the consolidation and collaboration drive being undertaken as an integral part of the desire to ensure greater integration of the region.

To this end, the meeting for 2016, will among others provide an ample opportunity to share experiences on the level of ownership and implementation of the Operational Manual launched in April 2015 in Accra, Ghana during the annual meeting of the Heads of ECOWAS National Offices.

Also high on the agenda of the meeting, is the discussion and adoption of the tools for monitoring and evaluation of ECOWAS programmes as a way of enhancing their workability in Member States.

Related to this, is the adoption of the framework for the reporting of funds remitted to Member States for the implementation of the ECOWAS programmes.

During the meeting that will feature the adoption of a work programme and an appraisal of the state of affairs in this regard, there will be presentations revolving around on-going institutional reforms, standardized reporting formats, among others.
