ECOWAS AND UEMOA consultations to strengthen and harmonize regional integration process

| The President of the ECOWAS commission, Désiré Ouédraogo Kadré and UEMOA Cheikhe Hadjibou Soumare, will meet November 24, 2015 in Abuja, Nigeria, to take stock of the progress of the convergence process between the two regional organizations.
The meeting of the two heads of institutions will be preceded by a preparatory meeting of experts from the two institutions to examine the 19 to 21 November the files relating to infrastructure, agriculture, trade, customs, the Regional Indicative Programme and the implementation of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). These various topics will be presented at the meeting of the sectoral Commissioners to be held on November 23 and whose recommendations will be submitted to heads of institutions. |
