Launch of the Call for Proposals for Community-based Forest/Land Management Demonstration Initiatives in West Africa
FAO is pleased to announce the launch on March 01, 2021, of the call for proposals for community-based forest/land management demonstration initiatives under the focus area 3 of the project: Global Transformation of Forest for People and Climate Focus on West Africa. Through this call, the project will select and support small demonstration initiatives aimed to develop, demonstrate, and share knowledge about community-based sustainable land and forest management in West Africa, and highlight its potential economic, social, and environmental contributions for the benefit of the population and the global environment.
The preparation and the launch of this call for proposals were done in a joint and close collaboration between FAO and ECOWAS Commission for Agriculture, Environment, and Water Resources particularly its Regional Agency for Agriculture and Food (RAAF/ARAA).
FAO would greatly appreciate the assistance of your relevant services to disseminate the call through your networks to ensure a wide participation of potential candidates.
