- The Government of Niger has obtained financing from ECOWAS for the implementation of a Pilot Project for the provision of drinking water to populations affected by terrorism, conflicts and climate change in the context of COVID-19 in the ECOWAS region, through the construction of three (3) Autonomous Solar Powered Water Supply Stations in the Maradi region.
- The project aims at the implementation of three (3) Autonomous Solar Powered Water Supply Stations in the department of Mayayi, Maradi region. Specifically, it aims, among others, to:
- The realization of three (3) positive boreholes;
- the realization of three (3) Autonomous Solar Powered Water Supply Stations by solar powered pumping system;
- the integration of the works in the management system in progress in the region.
- The ECOWAS Commission, acting on behalf of the Directorate in charge of Agriculture, Environment and Water Resources of ECOWAS (DAEWR), is now launching a Call for Bids for the submission of bids, under closed bids, for the Construction Works of three (3) Autonomous Solar Powered Water Supply Stations in the Maradi region as described below:

- Bids must be valid for a period of 120 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee (ORIGINAL Bank Guarantee) for each lot as indicated below.
- Lot No. 1: The sum of US$2,500 or its equivalent in one of the currencies of one of the ECOWAS member countries.
- Lot N°2: The sum of US$2,500 or its equivalent in one of the currencies of one of the ECOWAS member countries;
- Lot N°3: The sum of US$2,500 or its equivalent in one of the currencies of one of the ECOWAS member countries.

The Bid Guarantee MUST REMAIN VALID for 150 days.
- The three (3) lots are distinct and undividable, and the contract will be awarded by lot. Interested bidders with the requisite experience and qualifications may bid for one (1) or more lots.
- Bidding Documents may only be purchased from the Procurement Division, Directorate of General Administration, ECOWAS Commission, Plot 101, Yakubu Gowon Crescent, Asokoro District, Abuja, Nigeria, upon written request and payment of one hundred US dollars (US$100) in cash OR by cheque payable to the ECOWAS Commission, Abuja.
For bidders residing outside Nigeria, the bidding documents may be mailed to interested bidders upon payment (bank transfer) of a non-refundable sum of One Hundred United States Dollars (US$100) to the ECOWAS Commission (the cost of the transfer being borne by the bidder). - Bids (1 original and 3 copies) MUST BE submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Regional Call for Bids for the Construction of Three (3) Autonomous Solar Powered Water Supply Stations in the Maradi Region of Niger”. The envelopes MUST also indicate the name of the bidder and the lot(s) for which the bidder is bidding.
- Bids MUST BE deposited in the ECOWAS Bidding Box located at the Directorate of General Administration, Procurement Division, 1st Floor, ECOWAS Commission, 101, Yakubu Gowon Crescent Asokoro District, P. M. B. 401, Abuja, Nigeria no later than December 10, 2020, at 11:00 am (Nigeria time, GMT+1).
- Bids will be opened on the same day, in the presence of bidders wishing to attend the bid opening session at 11:30 (Nigeria time, GMT+1), at Room 523, ECOWAS Commission, Abuja, Nigeria.
