ECOWAS Commission to honor the best African Companies
The awards ceremony of the 1st edition of the ECOWAS Quality Award will take place on June 30, 2017 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
During this ceremony, the ECOWAS Commission will award over 20 trophies to award-winning companies and personalities who have contributed to the promotion of quality in West Africa.
The ECOWAS Quality Award is an essential component of the Quality Policy of the regional organization, called ECOQUAL.
Established in 2013, it is part of the Commission’s many efforts to promote the “culture of quality” within the area.
By awarding the best West African companies in the field of quality, the Commission aims to encourage economic operators in order for them to improve the quality of the products and services they offer to consumers.
For this edition, the regional jury set up will meet in Abidjan on the eve of the ceremony not only to analyze the output of the audits carried out among competing companies but also to designate the winners.
Companies will be assessed per category: small, medium and large companies. Within each category, there will be an Award of Excellence and four (04) Special Awards (Leadership, Product Development, Resource Management and Stakeholder Orientation).
In addition, honorary awards will be given to personalities and institutions for their actions in support of quality development in the West Africa region.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for June 30, 2017, in the presence of the Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara and several officials of the ECOWAS Commission.
This will be an opportunity for competing companies to present their innovations, build partnerships and build business relationships.
