The ECOWAS Commission with the support of the German Development agency, the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) has held a two-day management retreat for its staff in order to reposition the organization for the challenges head.

Consistent with this, the retreat was specially organized to improve its processes of contacting clients as well as shoring up the impact it is having on same when it comes to dealing with matters of Human Resources (HR)

The Retreat was also called to support clients in handling the HR aspect of their responsibilities and while effectively steering emerging tasks

The all- important retreat had also been put together in order to strategically position the Department of Human Resources (DHR) in the scheme of things of the Commission while developing the staff’s understanding of the needs of client.

In addition, the exercise is meant to provide development opportunities for DHR staff in order to motivate and energize them by learning and covering new duties and responsibilities.
